Apple Ice Wine Tastings

Greetings! Last week we ran an email about ice wine made from apples at Still River Winery in Harvard, MA, and it seems to have struck a nerve. Maybe it was the novelty of it. “Can they really make wine from apples?” you asked.

(Yes, they can.)

Or maybe it was that it’s a wine that comes from right here. “I love that the apples are grown practically in the next town over,” you said.

(We love that too.)

Or maybe it was that you weren’t quite sure where to get your hands on some. We got that question a lot, which is why we’re following up to let you know that you can sample and purchase the wine during the Wines for Valentines tasting at Brookline Liquor Mart tomorrow afternoon and Marty’s in Newton on Sunday.

Here’s a tip:

If you need a gift for a Valentine who has everything, consider Still River’s apple ice wine. It was just released for the first time a few weeks ago, so we’re pretty sure Val doesn’t have one yet.

You will both be in for a treat.
